This is the first of my studio paintings from my 11-day trip -- with easel, paints, and canvases -- down the Copper River. This was just below the start of our in Chitina. We are about to go through a narrow canyon. Spirit Mountain is peeking out. Below this point, we saw no one outside of our little group for many days.
