Sunrise, December 31, 2010, seen from Swede Heaven Road in the North Cascades valley of the Stillaguamish.  Silhouetted mountains, from right to left along the canvas, are the peak of White Chuck peeking out from behind Prarie Mountain, Mt. Pugh, and the north shoulder of Jumbo.  The sun is rising behind Glacier Peak, invisible as it so often is.
